The Government's Surveillance Program
It is fair to say that we now live in a post-privacy age after Snowden revealed the extent
of the U.S and by extension U.K spying program. Cameron has been a willing partner
in handing over the privacy rights of every British citizen. Most people are not surprised
that some type of surveillance exists but the scale of it and the lack of oversight has been
rightfully perceived as a fundamental breach of an individual's right to privacy. Glenn
Greenwald who until recently was working for the Guardian has been at the forefront
of exposing the 'Prism' program from  Snowden's revelations and how our government
has been complicit in it. The Newsnight interview below is a landmark discussion in
what is one of the most pressing democratic concerns of our time.
